  • Date

The Asia–Oceania Photochemistry Association (APA) Prize for Young Scientist is presented to early-career researchers under the age of 40 who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in photochemistry and related fields. The recipient is selected through a rigorous evaluation process based on research accomplishments over the past five years and submitted application materials, followed by committee review and a vote by the APA Board of Directors.

Established in 2005, this award aims to recognize the academic contributions, scholarly achievements, future potential, and service to the scientific community of emerging researchers in photochemistry and related disciplines across the Asia–Oceania region. The award is presented annually at the Asian and Oceanian Photochemistry Conference (APC).

Prof. Woojae Kim has been invited to deliver an award lecture at the 14th Asian and Oceanian Photochemistry Conference (APC), to be held in Kobe from September 4 to 8, 2026.
